This article covers VEED subscriptions on the web, Android, and iOS. It doesn't cover VEED Lite, our separate iOS app, which has its own subscription through the App Store — see how to subscribe to a paid plan for VEED Lite.
Before you start
Only the workspace owner can upgrade. If you see the message "Only the workspace owner can upgrade", you are in a workspace someone else owns. Switch to one you own and try again.
Each workspace is billed separately. If you belong to more than one workspace, you will need to manage each subscription on its own.
Every person in the workspace counts as a seat. If you already have collaborators, your charge covers all of them. See how collaborator charges are calculated.
Where you subscribe affects how you manage it. Subscribing on the web or in the Android app uses VEED's own checkout, and everything is managed in Workspace Billing. Subscribing in the iOS app goes through the App Store, and Apple handles billing, renewals, and cancellation. This article covers the web and Android route; see Subscribing in the iOS app below for Apple.
How to subscribe to a paid plan
Upgrading unlocks premium features such as higher export quality, AI tools, Translation, and Brand Kits.
Log into your VEED account
Go to veed.io and sign in.
Open your workspace settings
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
Hover over the first option in the dropdown, which shows your workspace name.
Select Workspace Settings.
Go to Workspace Billing
In the window that opens, select Workspace Billing.
Choose your plan
Click Upgrade to see the available plans.
Check the full plan comparison before you choose, so you know what each plan includes and where its limits sit.
Enter your payment details and confirm
Choose monthly or annual billing.
If you are buying on behalf of a company, tick Purchasing as a business and enter your organization name, Tax ID, VAT number, country, and address. See how to update billing information and company details.
Enter your card details and follow the prompts to complete the purchase.
You'll receive a confirmation email once the upgrade succeeds.
Note for users in India: monthly billing is not available due to Reserve Bank of India regulations. Only annual plans are offered.
iOS subscriptions
Please note that this article is not about our iOS mobile VEED LITE App. VEED is available as an app on Android and iOS, alongside the browser version at veed.io.
VEED LITE is a different app from the VEED iOS app.
If you're using the VEED iOS app, you should know that subscriptions bought inside the iOS app are App Store products, so payment goes through your Apple ID rather than a card entered in VEED. Tap the upgrade prompt in the app and confirm the purchase with Apple.
Because Apple manages the subscription, it won't appear in Workspace Billing. To view, change, or cancel it, go to Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select VEED. Invoices come from Apple, not from VEED, and refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you'd rather manage everything in one place, subscribe at veed.io in a browser instead — the plan works in the iOS app either way.
How to manage your subscription
Once you have subscribed, everything is managed from the same place. Click your profile picture, hover over your workspace name, select Workspace Settings, then Workspace Billing.
Update your billing information
Change your payment method, view and download your invoices, and add company details such as name, address, and Tax ID.
Upgrade your plan
Click Upgrade to move to a higher plan or one with more AI Credits. Note that upgrading resets your billing period: you are charged for a full cycle from the new date, with any unused time on your old plan prorated and deducted.
Turn off auto-renewal
Scroll down and click Turn off auto-renewal to stop your subscription renewing at the end of the billing period. You keep access to premium features until the current cycle ends. For the full process, including the cancellation questionnaire you must complete, see how to cancel your subscription.
Important information
Subscriptions auto-renew by default unless you cancel.
Each workspace has its own subscription, so if you are in several workspaces you must manage each one individually.
Cancelling stops future charges but does not produce a refund.
Frequently asked questions
Q: I'm being charged, but my account says I'm on the free plan
You are almost certainly signed in with a different email address from the one that holds the subscription. Check your other email addresses and log in with the one you used to subscribe.
Q: What does "Only the workspace owner can upgrade" mean?
Only the owner of a workspace can change its subscription. Switch to a workspace you own by clicking your profile picture in the top-right corner and selecting it from the list, then start the upgrade again.
Q: How do I subscribe in the Android app?
The same way as on the web. Android uses VEED's own checkout rather than Google Play, so the steps above apply, prices match web pricing, and the subscription appears in Workspace Billing as normal. One difference: on Android, Creator, Pro and Studio plans come with a fixed AI Credit allowance rather than the selector you get on the web.
Q: I subscribed on my iPhone but Workspace Billing shows the free plan. Why?
If you subscribed inside the iOS app, the subscription sits with Apple and won't appear in Workspace Billing. Check Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. If it isn't there, you may be signed into VEED with a different email address than the one holding the subscription.
Q: Why was I charged more than the price on the pricing page?
There are three common reasons:
You selected annual billing. If you were comparing monthly prices but chose the annual option, you were charged for the full year upfront.
You already had a collaborator. Every plan is billed per seat, so an existing collaborator adds a second subscription to your charge. Check who is in your workspace under Workspace Settings > Collaborators.
You upgraded from a lower plan. You may have been charged the difference between the two plans. Check Workspace Billing to confirm which plan you are on.
Q: Will my billing period reset if I upgrade?
Yes. Upgrading to a higher plan starts a new billing cycle from that date. You are charged for a full cycle, and any unused time on your previous plan is prorated and deducted from the total.
Q: My payment keeps failing. What should I do?
Payments usually fail for one of these reasons:
Your bank declined it. Banks sometimes block transactions for security reasons even when funds are available.
3D Secure authentication didn't complete.
Your card details are out of date, or the payment method isn't supported in your region.
To resolve it:
Try again. Payments often succeed on a second attempt.
Use a different card or another supported payment method.
Contact your bank to ask why the transaction was declined.
Check your card details are current and that your region supports the method you chose.
If you think a payment may have gone through despite showing as failed, check your transaction history and confirm whether your VEED account now shows the upgraded plan before trying again.
