How to show multiple videos at the same time

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Our editor allows you to display multiple video clips at the same time by placing them on separate rows in the timeline. This guide will walk you through how to do it.

Add Multiple Clips to Your Project

To begin, make sure your project contains multiple video clips. You can upload additional clips via the Media tab or drag them directly into the editor.

Move Clips to Separate Rows

Step 1: Drag a Clip Upward

  • Click and hold the clip you want to move.

  • Drag it upwards on the timeline until you see a blue horizontal line appear above the other clips.

Step 2: Drop to Create a New Row

  • Drop the clip on the blue line. This will automatically create a new row and place the clip on it.

You can continue dragging other clips into this new row in the same way.

Create More Rows (Optional)

  • Repeat the drag-and-drop process to create additional rows.

  • This allows for multiple clips to play at the same time, side by side or however you arrange them.

Adjust Clip Position and Size on Canvas

  • Move the blue playhead to a point on the timeline where all clips overlap.

  • Click on each clip on the canvas to resize or reposition them visually.

Subtitles and Multiple Clips

You can add subtitles to different clips by selecting each one and clicking the "Subtitle another video" button in the Subtitles tab.

If subtitle clips overlap on the timeline, they will also overlap on the canvas.

You can fix this by:

  • Adjusting the duration of one of the subtitle lines, or

  • Deleting the subtitle line you do not want to appear.

We’re working on improvements to make this smoother in the future.
