How to Trim a Video in VEED
Follow these steps to trim the beginning or end of a video:
1. Trim Your Video
Click on your video clip in the timeline.
Two handles will appear at the beginning and end of the clip. Your mouse will also change the icon when you shower over it.
Drag these handles to set new start and end points, effectively trimming unwanted sections.
2. Adjust Clip Position
After trimming, ensure your video starts at the beginning of the timeline to avoid any blank spaces.
How to Cut a Video in VEED
If you need to remove a section in the middle of your video, follow these steps to cut your clip:
1. Split Your Video
Click on your video in the timeline.
Move the playhead (blue vertical line) to the point where you want to make a cut.
Click on the Split button (scissors icon) to divide your video into separate clips or press S on your keyboard. You can also right-click on the video, select Split Element, and it will split the element at the place where you right-clicked.
Repeat this process to make additional cuts.
2. Delete Unwanted Sections
Select the segment you want to remove.
Press the Delete key or click on the Trash icon.
3. Adjust and Reposition Clips
Drag the remaining clips to close any gaps in the timeline.

Yes, you can trim and cut all elements the same way.
Q: My exported video start with a black screen after I cut/trimmed my video. How do I fix it?
The black space appears when you cut or trim down a clip and leave the empty space there. Select the empty space in the editor and delete it. After that, export the project again.
Q: How do I remove the empty, black space between clips?
You can select the empty spaces and press Delete on your keyboard. You can also right click on the empty space, and delete all empty spaces in the track.
