How to add a Title page before your video starts

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to insert a short title page at the beginning of your video using our editor's timeline and duration settings. This is great for adding branded intros, titles, or static images before the main content begins.

Step-by-Step: Add a Title Page Before Your Video Starts

1. Upload Your Video

  • Start a new project and upload your video to the timeline.

  • Wait for the video to finish processing.

2. Extend the Project Duration

  • Go to the Settings tab on the left.

  • Under Duration, select the Fixed option.

  • Click on the time and manually increase it—e.g., add 5 seconds to allow room for your title page.

  • You’ll notice a new empty space appears after your video on the timeline.

3. Move Your Video to the Right

  • Click on the video clip in the timeline to select it. It will be outlined in orange with trimming handles on either side.

  • Drag the video clip to the right, leaving the new empty space at the start of the timeline.

  • You now have a 5-second black screen at the beginning of your video.

4. Upload Your Title Page Image

  • Open the Media tab and click Upload a file to add your title image to the project.

  • Once uploaded, drag the image onto the empty space at the start of the timeline.

5. Set the Timing of the Title Image

  • Select the image clip on the timeline or canvas.

  • In the Edit Image tab, set the Start time to 00:00 and the End time to 00:05 (or however long you want the title page to last).

Optional: Add a Title Page After the Video Ends

  • Follow the same steps above, but skip dragging the video.

  • Instead, place the title image after the video clip and adjust its Start and End times accordingly.
