Our editor makes it easy to crop image or video files directly within the editor. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to crop your media using simple on-canvas controls and keyboard shortcuts.
Selecting the File
Once your file is uploaded:
Click on the image or video on the canvas to select it.
When selected, you’ll see dots on each corner and bars at the midpoints of each side of the file.
These handles allow you to crop or resize your file in different ways.
How to Crop Using the Side Bars
Drag the side bars to crop from that specific edge.
Hold
ALT(orOptionon Mac) while dragging to crop both the selected side and its opposite side at the same time and rate.
This is useful for cropping symmetrically from both sides.
How to Crop Using the Corner Dots
Drag a corner dot to resize the file while maintaining its original aspect ratio.
Hold
SHIFTand drag a corner to crop from that corner. This will crop without preserving the aspect ratio.Hold
