How to adjust the timing of captions in the iOS LITE app

Please note that this article is about our iOS mobile VEED LITE App. VEED is available as an app on Android and iOS, alongside the browser version at veed.io. If you require help with the web app feature, please follow this article.

VEED LITE is a different app. It's a separate iOS app focused on editing your videos on the go, with its own subscription — it isn't the mobile version of VEED. If you're looking for the full editor on your phone, you want the VEED app.

You can adjust the timing of each caption in our mobile app so that they appear at different times. Here is a short tutorial to show you how.

Step-by-Step: Adjust timing

  1. Open the App

Go into the VEED LITE app.

  2. Find the project

Head into the project and tap Edit or tap on the + icon at the bottom to start uploading a video.

  3. Edit the captions

Tap on the Timing at the bottom of the screen to start editing.

  4. Navigate the timeline

The timeline will open where you can swipe left and right.

  5. Zoom in and out of the timeline(optional)

You can zoom in and out of the timeline to view more of the subtitles. Hold two fingers on the timeline and drag them towards each other to zoom out, and drag them away from each other to zoom in.

  6. Modify the timing

Tap on the caption you want to modify:

    1. Hold down the left or right handles of the caption to adjust the start and end time.

    2. Drag the whole caption to a new time by holding your finger on the caption and dragging it on the timeline.

  7. Save your edits

Once you are done, tap on Done at the top right of the screen.
