How to use dynamic subtitles in the iOS app

Dynamic Subtitles make your captions come to life with motion and style. Instead of plain text, VEED’s AI highlights and animates key words to create more engaging, social-ready videos - perfect for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

Please note that this article is about our iOS mobile VEED LITE App. VEED is available as an app on Android and iOS, alongside the browser version at veed.io.

VEED LITE is a different app. It's a separate iOS app focused on editing your videos on the go, with its own subscription — it isn't the mobile version of VEED. If you're looking for the full editor on your phone, you want the VEED app.

How It Works

1. Create a Project and Add Captions

  • Start by creating a new project in the VEED app.
Generate captions for your video automatically or upload your own subtitle file.

2. Choose a Caption Style

  • Open the Caption Style menu on the right side of the screen.

  • Select one of the Dynamic Presets - such as Pulse, Glide, or Paloma.

  • These presets use AI to emphasize keywords automatically for a more dynamic look.

3. Turn Off Emphasis (Optional)

  • Play through your video to preview the effects.

  • Tap on any emphasized word and toggle Emphasize off if you want it displayed normally.

4. Customize Your Style

  • Go to Caption Style → Customize.

  • Open the Emphasis section to fine-tune your subtitles.

  • Adjust font, color, size, and more to match your brand’s look and feel.
