Version Control allows you to restore the project to a previous versions. This is especially useful for collaboration, iteration, and safeguarding your work throughout the editing process.

How to Use Version Control
1. Open Your Project
Go to your VEED dashboard.
Click on the project you want to edit.
2. Access the Version Control Menu
In the project editor, click on the Settings button.
Scroll down and select Restore to a previous version from the dropdown menu.
3. Restore a Previous Version
Select a date and time from the first drop-down menu.
Select the workspace to which you want to put the restored version.
Click Restore to create the restored version.
Restoring a version won’t delete your current work—it will create a new version with your current edits, so you can always go back again.
4. Rename or Delete a Version
Navigate to the workspace where you restored the project.
Hover over the project in the dashboard and click on the 3 dots that appear under it.
Select Rename to change the name of the project, or select Move to Trash to set the project for deletion.

Q: Can I use version control on a free plan?
Yes, version control is available on all plans.
Q: Will restoring a version delete my current progress?
No. Restoring creates a new version, a new project in the workspace you selected.
Q: How many versions can I save?
There is currently no hard limit on the number of versions, but we recommend managing them regularly for clarity.
Q: How long are versions saved?
There is no limit as to how long the versions are stored. However, as all versions are stored locally on your computer, they are only available on the same computer where the edits were made. Additionally, if you delete all data for our site in your browser, the versions will be permanently deleted too.
