The AI B-Roll feature automatically adds relevant images and video clips to your project, based on the words spoken in your video. Here is how to get started with it.

How to Use AI B-Roll
1. Generate B-Roll
Upload a video with speech to your project.
Click Add B-Roll in the timeline editor.
We will auto-transcribe the video and begin generating B-Roll.
A new B-Roll track will appear in the timeline, synced to key points in your narration.
2. Edit and Adjust B-Roll
Click any B-Roll item in the timeline.
The Edit B-Roll panel will open on the left.
Use Image Settings to adjust opacity, apply filters, and more.
3. Replace a Single B-Roll Item
Select a B-Roll item on the timeline.
In the Edit B-Roll panel, click Replace.
Choose one of two options:
Upload Media – Use your own image or video.
Stock Videos – Search the stock library for an alternative.
4. Regenerate a Single B-Roll Clip
Select the B-Roll item in the timeline.
Click Regenerate in the Edit B-Roll panel.
It will replace it with a new, AI-selected visual.
5. Regenerate All B-Roll
Select the video you generated the B-Roll from.
Scroll down to Magic B-Roll and click Regenerate.
It will remove all current B-Roll and generate a fresh set.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if my video has no speech?
The B-Roll feature requires speech to generate visuals. If no speech is detected, it will notify you that B-Roll cannot be generated.
Q: What if my project has no media?
You must upload a video or audio file first. The Add B-Roll button will be inactive until there is eligible media in your project.
Q: Can I change the look of the B-Roll?
Yes. Use the Edit B-Roll panel to change opacity, apply filters, and tweak other visual settings.
Q: I don’t like a generated clip. What should I do?
You can either:
Click Regenerate to get a new suggestion.
Click Replace to use your own media or choose from our stock library.
