Downloading your project is a straightforward process that allows you to save your final video file to your computer or device. Follow the steps below to download your video efficiently.
Please note the steps are the same on the web at veed.io, in the Android app, and in the iOS app. The one difference is where the file is saved once the download starts.
Steps to Download Your Video
Navigate to the Video Page
Once your project has been successfully exported, you will be taken to the video page, where you can see your rendered video. If you need help with exporting your project, click here.
Click the Download Button
Locate the Download icon on the right side of the video.
Click on it and select
MP4 to start downloading your video file,
MP3 to download only the audio,
GIF to download the video as a GIF file.
Downloading from the Dashboard
Go to your dashboard and select the project you want to download in the list of projects you'll see in the left bar, under "Recents"
If you can't see your project there, click on "View all" which will open your project library
Click on the three dots to open additional options.
Select Download, which will direct you to the project's video page, where you can download the file.
On the web — the file goes to your browser's usual downloads location.
On Android — the download is handed to your device's download manager. You'll see it in your notification shade while it runs, and you can find the finished file in your Downloads through the Files app.
On iOS — your device's share sheet opens when the download starts, and you choose where the file goes: Files, Photos, or straight into another app.
Important Notes
If your project is still in draft, you won't be able to download it. The project must be exported first.
If you make further edits to the project, you will need to export it again to apply the new changes before downloading.
FAQ
Q: My download speed is slow. Why?
Slow download speeds can be caused by many things. Please make sure you aren't downloading anything else, you have a strong Wifi connection, and that your internet speeds are good. You can check your connection speed to our servers through this link.
Q: Why is the GIF quality bad?
GIF files are best used for low-resolution images, as they have a limited color palette. This is why GIF files are low quality. If quality is essential, we recommend saving projects as videos(MP4).
Q: How many times can I download a project?
There are no limits. You can download it as many times as you want.
Q: Can I set the thumbnail of the video when I download it?
No, thumbnails are set by the host platform where you decide to host the video at the time of upload.
Q: Is there a limit on audio downloads?
As the project needs to be exported before you can download the video or the audio of it, the same limits apply as to video exports, except there won't be a watermark on the audio file.
Q: I downloaded on my phone but can't find the file. Where is it?
On Android, check your notification shade for the completed download, or open the Files app and look in Downloads. On iOS, the file goes wherever you chose in the share sheet — if you picked Files, look in "On My iPhone" or Downloads; if you picked Photos, it'll be in your camera roll.
