How to Create a Clip
Upload a video
Open the VEED editor and click Create Clips. Upload any long-form video that meets the following requirements:Mininum of 1 minute speech in the video.
Maximum of 3 hours speech in the video.
The video can be longer, but the speech in the file has to be in between these 2 limits.
Customise the clips
Choose the settings for how the generated clips should look like:Original language: Select what language is being spoken in the original file.
Size: Choose the size of the generated clips. Select between Portrait and Landscape.
Video Goals: Select what the goal of the clips are.
Describe what clips should capture (optional): You can add description as to what type of clips you want captured.
Subtitle style: Select between the preset subtitle styles to customize how the generated subtitles should look.
Max clip length: Customise the maximum length for the generated clips.
Review and favourite the clips
You will be able to review the clips and the text it highlights. You will see ratings for different aspects that you can review.
Click on the Star icon next to the name of the clip to favourite it, and use the switch at the top of the page to only show favorited clips.Trim
You can click on the Trim button for each clip to trim the start and end of the clip. We will display the script for the clip and you can use the handles at the start and end of the text to trim the clip.Edit
Clicking on the Edit button will take you to the editor to fully customize the clip, including the subtitles.

Q: Can I customize subtitles and style?
Yes! You can select between preset styles before the clips are generated. After they have been generated, you can click on Edit to go into the editor to customize the subtitles further.
Q: Does Clips work on short videos too?
Clips is designed for videos that are 1 minute or longer with spoken audio to generate meaningful highlights.
Q: Can I create clips of different lengths or themes?
Yes—choose your clip goal (e.g. viral highlight, insight teaser) and maximum length to guide AI outputs.
Q: Can I create longer clips, longer than the options shown?
The Clips feature is designed to create short clips, mainly a minute or shorter clips. If you want longer clips, we suggest uploading the video into our editor and trimming the video down to the sections you want highlighted.
