What is the AI Dubbing Tool?

The AI Dubbing Tool uses advanced AI technology to translate video audio into a target language and sync it with the video. It supports multiple languages, offers a variety of voices, and includes an optional lipsync feature for precise synchronization.

  • Limited Features: The Proofread and SRT upload option features are only available with the Enterprise subscription only.

Steps to Use the AI Dubbing Tool

  1. Access the AI Dubbing Tool

  2. Upload Your Video

    • Drag and drop your video or click Upload to select a file from your device

    • Supported formats include .mp4, .webm, and .mkv

  3. Upload the script in an SRT file(Enterprise only)

    • You can use your own file to upload the scripts of a video either via the Upload button, or dropping in a file over the Upload Transcript area.

    • When you upload an SRT or another supported subtitle file(accepted: .srt, .vtt, .ssa, .ass), you have two options:

      • Proofread: This shows the exact text from your uploaded file on the page for review.

      • Translate: This uses the uploaded file’s text (with timings) to generate dubbing — meaning the voice will say what’s in the file, not what’s actually said in the video.

Essentially, your uploaded file replaces the original video script for dubbing purposes.
If you don’t upload a file, the system uses the original audio from the video for both Proofread and Translate.

  4. Select a Target Language

    • Choose the language you want your video to be dubbed into

    • The source language will be automatically detected

  5. Choose a Voice

    • Pick from a range of AI-generated voices to suit your video's tone and audience, or use your own voice!

  6. Proofread(Enterprise only)

    • You can use Proofread to validate and edit translation before dubbing.

    • This feature won’t deduct any credits for dubbing. However, we check whether there is enough credits available for dubbing before allowing you to proofread the translation.

  7. Optional: Enable Lipsync

    • Toggle on the lipsync option for precise voice synchronization with video lip movements

    • Note: Whilst the feature is in BETA, lipsync increases processing time and will downsample your video to 1080p

  8. Start the Dubbing Process

    • Click Continue to initiate the dubbing process. The processing time will vary based on video length and features selected

Once the dubbing process is complete, your video will appear in your VEED dashboard. From there, you're able to make any further edits using our editing functionality, or go ahead and export to share!
