Our Screen Recorder allows you to capture your screen, camera, and audio directly from your browser, record your slides, and gives you a teleprompter to help you with your recording. Follow this article to learn how to fully utilize our recorder.
Who Can Use This Feature?

Getting Started
Navigate to our Screen Recorder or Log into your account and click on Record Video.
Select your preferred layout.
Click Start Recording.
Your browser will prompt you to grant access to your camera and microphone. Ensure you allow these permissions to proceed.
Configuring Your Recording
Camera: You can Show or Hide your camera by clicking on the Cam button. Select the arrow icon next to the Camera button to change between input camera feeds.
Microphone: You can Mute or Unmute the microphone by clicking on the Mic button. Select the arrow icon next to the Mic button to change the input audio device.
Screen: Toggle these options on or off as needed. If you select Screen, you'll be prompted to choose between recording your entire screen or a specific application window. Alternatively, you can record only your camera or only your screen.
Layout: You can change the layout for your recording, customizing how big the screen or camera is going to be on the screen, and where they are located. You can also click and move both the camera and screen on the recorder page to change their position in the recording, and you can resize them by dragging the circles at the corner after selecting them.
Aspect Ratio: Choose your desired aspect ratio from the Size option before starting your recording.
Background: Customize your recording by selecting a background. You can select solid colors, available images, or uploading your own image. Please note that while you can choose from default themes, uploading custom themes is not currently supported.
Slides: To add slides for a presentation, click on Slides, then upload your file by dragging and dropping or using the upload button.
Prompter: You can add a teleprompter to your screen when you are recording. You can add text here that you want to read out while recording. Add the text to the window that appears when you click on Prompter, and customize it to your liking:
Move the Prompter: You can move the prompter window around your screen. Click and drag the top-middle part of the window.
Speed: You can change the speed at which the text will scroll. Click on the clock icon at the bottom left of the prompter window to set the speed.
Text position: You can change how the text appears in the window. Click on the settings button at the bottom right of the prompter window, and you will be able to set the Margins of the text box, the Highlighter line to set where the next text appears, the size of the text by clicking on the smaller and bigger A buttons, and the opacity of the prompter window between less and more transparent.
Settings: Click on the gear icon at the bottom right to access additional settings:
Countdown: Enable or disable the countdown before recording starts.
Camera: You can choose to mirror your webcam if desired.
Quality: Select the quality of your recorded video from the options available.
Recording Your Video
Once you've configured your settings:
Click Record at the top right.
During recording, you can Pause or Retake using the buttons at the top right.
When finished, click Stop.
After stopping, your recording will upload. Wait for the upload to complete. You can then preview your video and choose to Edit, Finish Recording, or Delete it.
Important: The recording isn't saved until you click Edit or Finish Recording. Closing the window before doing so will result in the loss of the recording.
Edit: Opens the recording in our editor for further modifications.
Finish Recording: Renders the video, allowing you to watch, download, or share it.
Adding Scenes
You can add multiple scenes to your recording:
Before finishing, click on New Scene to add another scene to your recording.
You can delete each scene individually or click on the 3 dots above the scenes and delete all.
To rearrange the scenes, click on Edit and you will be taken to the editor where you will be able to edit each scene as a separate clip.
Managing Permissions
Chrome and Edge
Click the Lock icon next to the URL.
In the site information panel, set both Camera and Microphone to "Allow".
Refresh the page.
Firefox
Upon opening the recorder, Firefox will prompt for permissions. Allow access to your camera, microphone, and screen.
If issues persist:
Click the Lock icon next to the URL.
Click the arrow next to "Connection secure", then More Information.
In the Permissions tab, deselect "Use Default" for camera and microphone, then set them to "Allow".
Close the window and refresh the page.
Recording Computer Audio
By default, browsers don't permit the recording of system audio. However, there are workarounds:
Windows: When sharing your screen, select Share system audio in the window before recording.
macOS: System audio can only be shared when recording a specific browser tab. This option is available during the screen-sharing selection process.
FAQ
Q: What is the maximum length that I can record?
The maximum length you can record with our recorder, regardless of your plan, is 60 minutes.
Q: I am not getting the option to share my system audio. What can I do?
If you are not getting the option to share the system audio when selecting between browser tabs, windows, or full screen, that means that the browser doesn't allow you to share the system audio for the specific option. You can select another option where the system audio is available.
